Community Games

Rhona wrote: Boyle Youth Choir were delighted to be placed 2nd in the Community Games u13 National Finals on Saturday 16th August. Huge thanks and congratulations to the 17 girls who sang their hearts out thanks to the work of Roisin Egan, Musical Director and Ruth Kielty, Accompanist.
The choir is grateful to the Boyle and Roscommon Community Games Committee for their support, and Boyle Musical Society whose contribution to the choir went towards the fab t-shirts made at Sparkle Prints, Boyle. The contribution from BMS was to thank the choir for their participation in the society's concert on June 27th.
Thanks also to our rehearsal venues at St Joseph's Resource Centre, Abbey Community College and King House. Congrats also to Kate Garavan who came 4th in her art competition (also a member of the choir) and the quiz team, 2nd.

Boyle GAA unveil seat to the late Eoin Lavin

A seat in memory of the late underage player Eoin Lavin will be unveiled in the Abbey Park on Saturday evening next 23rd August at 8.15pm--after the Boyle v Strokestown O'Rourke Cup game. Eoin, whose second anniversary occurs this weekend, played at all underage levels and he was just breaking into the adult teams when he was tragically taken from his family and from us. He was a member of the Boyle County Minor Division 1 Title winning team of 2011 and he had also been a member of the County U16 panel previously. All are invited to this special event.
