A large number attended while a seat in memory of the late player Eoin Lavin was unveiled in the Abbey Park on Saturday evening 23rd August after the Boyle v Strokestown O'Rourke Cup game.
Eoin died in a car accident. Eoin Lavin March 21 1995 - August 19th 2012 R.I.P.
At this sad, but memorable event for the Lavin family and Eoin's team mates and friends, Fr. Donal Morris blessed the seat. Tributes to Eoin were spoken by MC Tony Conboy, Eoin's dad Aidan and club chairman Martin Dolan. On occasions like this we remember that life is precious, but fragile.

Trad Sessions in Dodd's Bar

Bernard Flaherty and daughter Róisin - "the tradition will never die"

Friday 21st: A full house enjoyed another great session of Traditional Music Playing and Singing in Dodd's Bar on The Crescent with our local players and guests. It is wonderful to note that Traditional music is alive and well here in Boyle and that our 'seasoned' musicians are now being joined with a younger generation of players.
