"Normal" summer weather is on the way

Met Eireann forecaster John Eagleton says temperatures will finally return to normal for this time of the year, even if it doesn't mean there will be long tailbacks to our beaches this weekend. Improving weather is to follow after yesterday's heavy rain and gale-force winds.
Students beginning their state exams tomorrow will have no reason to envy the rest of us as forecasters say the usual "Leaving Cert heatwave" will not happen this year.

Family of swans at Doon Shore
