€750,000 for Boyle street Resurfacing

Boyle Town Council held a specially convened meeting. During the meeting Majella Hunt, Roscommon Director of Services (Roads) informed Boyle Councillors that an additional €750,000 has been allocated for resurfacing streets in Boyle.
This very welcome news follows the €350,000 spend on resurfacing Shop Street. Full details on when and precisely where the new works are to take place will be announced shortly.
Heartiest congratulations to all involved who lobbied for and managed to get what will be a well deserved enhancement to the streets of the 'Town We Love So Well'
Boyle's One-Way System has been referred to as a "blight on the town", "illogical", "laughable" and while detested by Boyle traders, locals and visitors alike, it is set to remain in place. Hopefully those same public servants who serve so well and as best as the can in these difficult times will see fit to abolish the One Way System before too long!
