Season of Events Launch: Last night's well-attended, King House 2012 Events Launch was a very informative, well-structured event that left me feeling certain that Roscommon County Council is committed to making best efforts to ensure a positive future for our beautiful King House. Thanks to Roscommon County Council executives, in association with national and local interested groups, we now have a programme of planned events for each of the months April through September 2012.
• Positive plans and hopes for the future of King House were expressed by speakers Co Manager Frank Dawson, Directors of Services Kathleen Martin and Richie Farrell as well as Mayor Eugene Murphy. "Local involvement and ownership" was an imperative from each speaker so that King house can move from strength to strength.
• Present at the Launch were Roscommon Co Manager Frank Dawson, Roscommon Mayor Eugene Murphy, Services Directors Richie Farrell and Kathleen Martin, Adminstrative Officers Mary Mullins and Úna Ní Chuinn, Members of Roscommon Co Council, Boyle Mayor Jane Suffin and fellow Town Cllrs, Boyle Chamber of Commerce Presidents Ciaran O'Connor and Siobhan Gallagher, representatives of Boyle Groups and several interested individuals.
