Boyle cyclists for L'Etape du Tour

Joan Gardner, Aisling Gaughren and Carmel Regan 'all set' for L’Etape du Tour

On Tuesday 2nd July, eight Boyle cyclists will face one of the toughest cycling challenges of their lives when they take part in L’Etape du Tour in Annecy, south west France. As they participate in the 130km competition, Aisling Gaughren, Joan Gardner, Carmel Regan, Enda Madden, Gavin Brennan, Des McLoughlin, Conor Nerney and Brian Nerney will raise funds for 2 worthy charities – Cancer Care West and the Roscommon Parkinson Association.
• The one day event, which is an actual stage of this year’s Tour de France, features 7 major climbs including the 1142m Col des Pres, the 1463m Mont Revard and finishes on the 1655m summit of Annecy Semnoz – with the 130km to be completed within a controlled time limit.
