Church of Ireland - new roof
At the Parish Church of The Church of Ireland, Boyle, work has started on laying a new roof. The Church building at the top of Green Street was established in the second half of the 18th Centenary and houses many great funerary and military memorials, encanstic tiles and three magnificent stained glass windows. One window in the North Wall of the Nave depicts the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Realboyle photos will follow here shortly

The Government has signed on proposed new laws to introduce plain packaging on cigarette packets and tobacco products. If enacted – the new Public Health Bill will make Ireland the first country in the EU to ban the companies from using logos

Dog Missing
Today's thunder storms have scared pet dogs. Following the disappearance, and later reappearance of Katie Lennon's "Holly", Brendan Scanlon's "Mundy", a brown and white Jack Russell is now missing from Plunkett Avenue. If you see Mundy, pictured above, please call Brendan on 071 966 3225
