Deputy Feighan says threats were made the night before as well as on the day of the vote where he says there was an element in the crowd that did NOT have the interests of the hospital at heart.
• He also says he reported a specific incident of a man threatning to 'put a bullet in his head' to the Gardai but the issue was later resolved after the man apologised.
• The Roscommon TD said HAC Chairman John McDermott was not with him at all times on the day of the vote, and he adds he is happy to furnish Mr McDermott with the name and address of the man who threatened him, if he wants to.

The New Apple tablet computer

For all computer geeks, devotees, students and users, Apple has launched its newest creation, the "New Apple". Don't rush to your local supplier folks, the New Apple doesn't go on sale in the UK until Friday 16th March, and probably soon after in Ireland.
The Late Steve Jobs would have been proud of the New Apple, he said:
• Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.
• Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected.
• Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life...Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

Just because people are elderly, it doesn't mean they've stopped living or enjoying their favourite pastimes." L.Key Visitor Centre - Leap Year Night

The night was a first for the Social Committee section of Boyle Town & More. Compliments of Louise Fitzpatrick, Manager of Lough Key Key Forest Park, all were warmly welcomed and guided through the challenges by Anna and her team. Then we were treated a variety of delicious nibbles courtesy of Chef Stephen Coles, so all Lenten promises were happily broken (efforts to be renewed and back on track from today of course !!) Guitarist Liam Fitz was on hand to sing and entertain with a full programme of current and familiar favourites.
• An enthusiastic Boyle Town and More group of over 50 faced the challenge of Boda Borg in Lough Key Visitor Centre last night - Leap Year Night. Those who hadn't been there previously were delighted to note that there is such a fantastic local attraction available for all.
• Consensus at the end of the evening was that more similar events are a must, and I understand the social committee of Boyle Town and More are already planning Event 2 ...Well done and thank you to all involved.
