Lead-in Lines - Boyle Camera Club

Boyle Camera Club's December meeting was held in St. Joseph’s Resource Centre on Tuesday 9th December. Everyone interested in finding information and learning about photography is encouraged to come to the club's meetings held on the second Tuesday each month. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced photographers will equally enjoy the meetings and the club's other activities.
Each month, members in each category are invited to submit new photographs on a specified theme. For this month the theme was 'lead-in lines' ... elements in a photo that move a viewer's eyes to the photo's point of interest. The photo above was winner this month in the Advanced category. I took this photo a few weeks ago outside the swimming pool in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Stray Dog
Sandra McCrann wrote: beautiful big black & white collie type dog with one of those radio controlled collars arrived at our house this evening. He's a big gentle giant who has obviously been well looked after. Some family must be anxious about him. He's safe and warm in our stables at the moment but I'd be delighted to see him going home! Storm will bring 70ft waves
Irish Independent report: Record waves could hit the west coast of Ireland over the next 48 hours as an Atlantic storm hits. Met Eireann has issued a weather warning forecasting wind gusts of up to 110kmh between today and midnight tomorrow. The gigantic north Atlantic storm will see Hawaiian-sized waves crashing off the west and north-west coasts.

Boyle Celtic - a great win
Massive result on Sunday for Boyle Celtic. Boyle won 6-1 today against Muirhevna Mor FC from Dundalk. Hat trick from the "king of the mountain" Shane Battles! Two from James Carty and one from Niall Brennan. Great result which puts Boyle in the draw for the last 32 in Ireland!
