Congratulations to Boyle man Simon O'Donnell for fitting out and launching his all-new fitness club.
• Boyle Boxing Fitness Club - Officially opening Monday 31st August
Monday 6.20pm-7.20pm. Kids from 8-12 years old Monday - Wednesday - Friday. Men also (13 age+) 7.30pm-9pm Men (beginners) Monday - Wednesdays-Friday 9pm-10pm Ladies Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30-9pm. Ladies(beginners) Tuesdays and Thursdays 9pm-10pm. For groups bookings and any enquiries please contact Simon on 086 404 1830. NO MEMBERSHIP PAY AS YOU GO!!!

Tralee Roses 2015 visit to Lough Key Forest Park
Sydney Rose Ciara Raferty returned to the homeplace of her Grandad Pat Flanagan.

Wednesday 12th August: A large audience welcomed the 32 Tralee Roses to Lough Key Forest Park. Visitor Centre Manager Louise Fitzpatrick gave a brief history of the Park and told of the packed agenda of afternoon activities arranged for the Roses that included the Lough Key Experience, Boda Borg, Boat trips on Lough Key, Segway and Bike rides.

The Roses of Tralee are on their tour of Leitrim yesterday and to-day where they are being hosted by Lough Rynn Castle Hotel over their two day stay. The girls visited the town of Mohill last night where they were entertained by Leitrim’s finest musicians and dancers. They were treated to drinks reception and barbeque last night. They are on a tour of the area to-day including, Drumshanbo, Lough Key Forest Park (arriving at approximately 3.20pm) and the official Ball will be held tonight 12th August, at the Lough Rynn Castle Hotel.

Frankie and Niamh Simon wish to thank Angela and Nigel East on the success of their recent Secret Garden Project, the proceeds from which were donated to the Tommy Simon Care Fund. Despite a very bleak prognosis, Tommy is now 9 years old and is carrying on his fight where he is loved and cared for 24/7 at home

Leaving Cert Results 2015
Almost 58,000 students will receive the results of their Leaving Certificate exams today. This year's figures show that the Higher Level Irish paper continues to grow in popularity. Results are available in schools this morning, and online from midday.
• Eight students will discover that they have been awarded 8A1s. One student will find out that she or he has achieved 9A1s. Overall more than 6,500 students have received one or more A1s.

Actress Angelina Jolie Pitt will act as executive producer on upcoming animated feature "The Breadwinner". Boyle man Paul Young’s Cartoon Saloon will co-produce the film. The Breadwinner is based on the internationally-acclaimed young adult novel of the same name by Canadian author Deborah Ellis. It tells the story of Parvana, a young girl living under the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, who must disguise herself as a boy and become the breadwinner of the family when her father is unfairly imprisoned. Jolie Pitt funds a girls’ school in Afghanistan.
