Ecumenical Carol Service 2014

The Annual Ecumenical Christmas Carol Service was held on Tuesday 16th December in the Church of Ireland on Green Street. Despite the adverse weather, a substantial congregation were present. They sang carols and listened to readings with clergy from 4 religions in Boyle. Sr. Richard accompanied the singing on the church's fine organ. St. Joseph's Church Folk Choir also performed, accompanied by Breege Duffy on guitar.

British Comedy Awards - success for Moone Boy

The Irish cleaned up at Tuesday night's British Comedy Awards with Aisling Bea, Moone Boy and Graham Norton all receiving awards. Moone Boy, as we all know was inspired and co-written by Chris O'Dowd and is loosely based on his time growing up in Boyle, Co Roscommon.

Christmas Lights Mega Draw next Monday

Only 5 days to the Christmas Lights Mega Draw. The exciting draw will take place on Monday 22nd Dec at 9.30pm in Clarke's Bar prior to the weekly Chamber Lotto Draw. Please ensure that you have your tickets bought - €2 per line or 3 lines for €5, great value with a chance to win 50 prizes. Remember if you are not in you can't win!
