Frank Feighan TD - Press Release

Boyle Primary Care Centre project due to go to tender early next year. The construction project for the new Primary Care Centre in Boyle is due to go to tender in early 2015, according to Roscommon/South Leitrim TD, Frank Feighan. Roscommon Council granted planning permission earlier this year for the state-of-the-art Primary Care Centre and I understand that the project build will go out to tender early next year. The project will see the construction of a 17,000 square foot two storey Primary Health Care Centre on the grounds of the Plunkett Nursing Home.
The multi-purpose facility will incorporate GP suites, consulting rooms, physiotherapy and occupational therapy suites along with a separate dental wing.
Once complete, this major development will ensure that local communities have improved access to a greater range of health services on their doorstep. Primary care is central to this Government’s policy to deliver an integrated and cost-effective healthcare system focussing on delivering more care in the community, including preventative care.
Up to 95% of people’s day-to-day health and social care needs can be provided in a community setting. The construction of this Boyle project will also provide a welcome jobs boost for North Roscommon.
