Thank you from Boyle TM : Christine Stewart yoga : Low GL Snacks : Eircode

Thank you from Boyle TM

Boyle Town and More would like to thank everyone who helped out with the Christmas Lights this year and all who assisted in our fundraising efforts during the year (Good Friday Quiz and Mega Draw). We especially want to thank all the sponsors who donated prizes to our Christmas Lights Mega Draw, the many business’ who sold numerous cards and to all those who bought lines. We have arranged a get together in Mattimoes Bar & Lounge for Monday next January 12th at 9.30pm, (prior to the Boyle Chamber Lotto) to allow our sponsors the opportunity to get some photos taken presenting their prizes.
• This will be an ideal opportunity for all those who sold cards, who bought lines, helped with the putting up the lights, to enjoy a night before we embark on the arduous task of taking down the bright lights of Boyle.
• There will be some light refreshments served on the night.

Low GL Snacks

sásta writes: Snacking is an important part of the sásta meal plan but they need to be planned in advance to avoid convenience of dangerous sugary options! Always include some protein in your snacks.

Litter outside Assylinn Cemetery

Assylinn Cemetery Litter

Tuesday 6th January: There was widespread surprise and upset locally knowing that someone had dumped these black bags of litter (mostly household) outside Assylinn Cemetery. While I was taking this photo, the Roscommon Co Co Litter Warden came on to the scene and began to examine the contents of the bags. I guess they have since been removed, thanks to Roscommon Co Council.
I understand that Co Chairperson Cllr. John Cummins and former Boyle Mayor Jane Sharkey were in contact with Ros Co Co ahead of the litter being removed.

Eircode

Eircode will help the public, businesses and public bodies to locate every individual address in the State. In 2015, Ireland will make a little bit of history by implementing a postcode system called Eircode. This will enable people and businesses to find every address in Ireland, helping you to find life easier.
An Eircode for your property will be sent to you in 2015. An Eircode will be unique to your house, not to you, so if you move home, you will not take your Eircode with you. The implementation of Eircode will be very simple, and it will not affect your current postal service
