Litter on Maple Drive

A viewer wrote: "I take good care in keeping our area as litter free as possible, and much pride in flower patches outside my house. Other Maple Drive residents do likewise. We have noticed in recent weeks that people have started to dump wine bottles and sauce bottles in the flower patches. Would you please ask these litter louts to stop this ASAP and keep Boyle tidy."

Tadhg TV update

With accustomed style, Tadhg makes comments on:
The Voice UK, Mr. Selfridge, Gotham, Mike and Molly, Wolf Hall, Brooklyn Nine Nine, The Last Leg and current soaps and writes "Now you might have noticed that I have avoided a certain show on RTE on a Friday because to be honest I have nothing to say about it. I am always washing what's left of my hair when it is on." :-)

Stewarts Mill

Untitled

Following last October's auction of plant and equipment at Stewarts Mill, workers are now taking down the conveyors at the top of the silos close to Boyle River. These silos replaced smaller ones that were in place since the 1950's. When, eventually the large silos are removed we will have a first hand view of that side of the Mill building.

King House, Sunday 1st February: Matt Molloy, John Carty and Arty McGlynn to play in Boyle as part of their Winter Rambles Tour 2015

"How do they make it look so easy?", remarked one reviewer having just seen this trad superstar ensemble on stage. You can decide for yourself as the most exciting trad combination of recent times embark on their Winter Rambles tour 2015. Presented by Boyle Arts Festival this gig will be of special significance for Matt and John being their only gig in their native County Roscommon for a number of years.
The Winter Rambles Tour has sold out already at other venues this week & we have just a limited number available for the Boyle Arts Festival date this Sunday, 1st Feb. We hate disappointing people at the door so I would really appreciate it if you could let people know to please buy their tickets in advance! Online tickets were released on Eventbrite and this is the short link http://ow.ly/F61n9
