Boyle - an Enterprise Town - meeting tonight

Bank of Ireland and the Boyle business community are jointly working on an initiative which aims to promote the business momentum in our locality.
• Hear more about the plans for the Enterprise Town Programme or to get involved, you are invited to a community meeting on Monday 26th in King House at 7.30pm. We hope that everyone in Boyle gets involved in the events and makes Boyle Enterprise Town a big success.

Public consultation sessions

People in County Roscommon are being urged to partake in public consultation sessions in the coming weeks. Roscommon County Council is seeking the public’s views on the Local Economic and Community Plan, the LEADER plan, and the Tourism Strategy. The Boyle session is scheduled for King House Boyle on Wednesday the 4th February at 7pm

Nun gives birth

No, its not a headline borrowed from 'Waterford Whispers' ... A nun living in an Italian convent has given birth to a surprise baby after complaining of stomach pains, according to the Italian press

Peggie McHugh R.I.P.

The death has occurred of Peggie MCHUGH (née Snee) Tonroe,Kingsland, Boyle - Peacefully at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. Sadly missed by her daughters Elizabeth (London), Mary Harrington (Kingsland), Mairead Smith (Corrigeenroe), sons Roger and Eamon (Kingsland), sisters Eileen Cunningham (Sligo), Freda McCabe (New Jersey), sons-in-law, grandchildren and extended family.
• Rest in Peace.
• Reposing Mahon's Funeral Home, Boyle on Sunday evening from 5pm until 7pm arriving to Breedogue Church at 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 12pm with interment afterward in Killaraght Old Cemetery.
