Alcoholics Anonymous in Boyle
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; it is are self-supporting through its own contributions. The primary purpose of AA is to stay sober and help
alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Run Walk N Roll
Damian & Pauline Regan wrote: Congratulations to all the 300 participants who took part in Boyle's 5.4km run for Cancer Research on Sunday 6th October. The sun shone brightly as everyone hit off on the Run Walk N'Roll event and returned to St.Joseph's Hall for some well earned refreshment where there was also two Irish Cancer Society volunteers on hand with cancer awareness information. First man home Finley Daly in 20:22 and first female home for second successive year was localwoman, Michelle Lannon, in a time of 21:22.
• To date €4414.44 has been raised for Cancer Research.
Tom McGovern R.I.P.
Boyle native Tom McGovern, (formerly from Drum) died last Sunday October 6th in his 87th year. Tom was buried Wednesday after mass in St Fidelis church at Mount St. Mary cemetery. He is survived by his Wife Son Daughter son in-law daughter in-law and grandchildren. May he rest in peace
