Did you know: (for Thursday 10th July)

This website since its first day, has been a totally independent site. Its content is not constrained by the demands of government, funding agencies, individuals or groups. Realboyle aspires to give accurate and complete lists of attractions and services available in the area. For instance, please visit and view our Accommodation page to see the only available list (as far as we are aware) of ALL of the accommodation providers in the area [here...]
During next week we will have Boyle's first full list of all of our restaurants and cafes. The list will show opening hours and brief descriptions of fare available.

Cllr Rachel Doherty will not go forward

Confirming her decision not to contest the forthcoming Fianna Fail convention for the Roscommon/Sth Leitrim by-election, Cllr Doherty says health issues she has suffered recently mean that she could not give the 100% commitment needed.
Roscommon Fianna Fail Cllr Rachel Doherty has criticised the party structure in the county. Rachel said she doesn’t feel the present structure of the party in the county allows for the strategic decision making necessary for fighting national elections.

Members of our sport clubs know that being 'fit to play' is important ... But what about the rest of us? I use both gyms and at this elderly stage in my life, I am thankful to God and both gyms that I feel 'better than ever'. Check the gyms out for yourself:
"Get Fit" on Green Street (086 192 9282), and "Results Gym" close to Abbeytown Bridge (087 411 4280)

2. The GAA, Aiken Productions and Ticketmaster should have made sure they had proper licensing before advertising the concerts and selling tickets.
3. Ireland's reputation as welcoming place is now in tatters.
Just when we thought ‘Garthgate’ couldn’t get any crazier the singer is set to sue the Republic of Ireland in its entirety following ‘insurmountable reputational damage’ incurred in the recents weeks. Read more [here...Hitler is so-o disappointed [here...]
