Annie Egan - 90th birthday celebrations
Annie Egan celebrated her 90th birthday last weekend with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They came from all parts of the world to be with her on this significant occasion. We send our very best wishes to Annie for many more years of good health and happiness.

Boyle Town Council ceased to exist after last May 31st. Our former Boyle Town Councillors have received notice that they will each receive a gratuity. The amount for each gratuity appears to be related to the number of years a Cllr served on the council. It is not anywhere near the rumoured €30,000 for each Cllr. In my opinion the monies are very small when one considers the amount of time and effort each of our Cllrs worked diligently on our behalf.
Raymie Maughan will receive €4,500 for his 10 years. Frank Geelan will receive €10,100 for his 35 years (his early years did not include eligibility). Each will work out at approx €9 a week !!
