Malachy Beirne, husband, father, former Town Cllr and Peace Commissioner died in the Hospice last night (Wednesday 16th) with his family around him. He was an outstanding Boyle citizen and a friend to many including my late parents and myself. Countless times we chatted, discussed local issues and laughed together. I will miss my friend Malachy Beirne, may he Rest In Peace.

Happy days for shopfront painters

With the weather 'pretty-okay' for the past few months many of Boyle's shopfronts have been repainted. The streetscape looks very different and more appealing than it did earlier this year. Shortly I will have a set of photos for your viewing pleasure. I have attempted to complete the set many times, and have to wait so that parked cars do not hinder best photo views ... but I'm getting there !! Watch this space :-)
