Award for Keadue's Paraic Noone

Paraic Noone of Keadue TidyTowns Committee will be awarded a SuperValu TidyTowns Hero award today (Monday, 8th September). The award is being granted to Paraic in recognition of his endless motivation and commitment to the village of Keadue. Under Paraic’s guidance, Keadue has developed community composters and vegetable allotments and has won at least one award every year since 1987.

Boyle Golf Club Update

Last Sunday’s King Cup was won by Tom Kearney with 43pts, 2nd Adrian King 41pts, Gross Gary Carty, 3rd John McGuinn 41pts. Thie result gives Tom Kearney a seven point lead over Gary Carty on the Golfer of the Year leader board with Gerry Carty in 3rd place. Full update [here...]

The 2014 Lough Key Triathlon attracted an countrywide entry of 330 including an 83 year old man from Carrick-on-Shannon. The well organised and managed event took place in beautiful Lough Key Forest Park under glorious autumn sunshine. Results:
