It was a quiet week on the playing fields but the Abbey Park was a hive of activity with the successful staging of the Kellogg's Cúl Camps for the region.

Boyle Golf club Update

Congratulations to Tish Perry who won the Ladies Committee Cup last Sunday with over thirty players taking part. At the presentation Susan O’Mahoney, on behalf of the Committee, thanked everyone for attending and specially welcomed Lady Vice-Captain Sandra McCrann, Club Captain Padraig O’Connell and Lady President Moira Egan.

Boyle Arts Festival

The banners are up ... Art pieces are arriving in King House daily ... over 260 pieces have been submitted for the Local Show in the Parochial School. This year's Arts Festival will run from 24th July to 2nd August. Book your performance tickets in advance 10am to 3pm at the BAF Festival Office 071 966 3085.

A gallant Boyle Ladies GAA team succumbed to recent League winners Eire Óg yesterday in Abbey Park, Boyle. Boyle fan Cryril Calpin said "Down today, but Boyle have another chance left". Final score 4:11 v 2:04
