Jigs and reels at King House
There will be Jigs, Reels and more at King House this weekend with three more great performers. King House is set to come alive with the sound of music when Roscommon native, Maggie Carty will join for a night of traditional music and song performed by Donal McCague and Francis Gaffney on Saturday evening, July 12th.Jigs and Reels continues at King House this weekend.
This Trio have performed together on numerous occasions, including a performance at Boyle Arts Festival a number of years ago and now they will make a welcome return to King House as part of the House’s summer programme of events, run in conjunction with Roscommon County Council. Tickets are priced at just €12 and can now be purchased at the reception desk in King House or via Roscommon Arts Centre (0906 625824). Tickets can also be purchased online at www.roscommonartscentre.ie.

Open Week in "full swing" at Boyle Golf Club
Open week "opened" yesterday at Boyle Golf Club with a nine hole for Ladies and Gents. Today is Ladies Day with a nine hole for gents and Wednesday a Mixed Foursomes plus a nine hole. Thursday an 18 Hole for Men and nine hole for Ladies. Friday a nine hole and Saturday is a Rumble. The week finishes on Sunday with an 18 Hole for Ladies and Gents.
