Our Open Week was a great success. At the final presentation Club Captain Padraig O’Connell thanked everyone for their great support. He specially thanked all the sponsors for their generosity and urged members to give them support. He thanked the organising committee for a great week adding that it was great to see so many members and visitors on the course. The groundsman Charlie Beirne was thanked for the great condition of the course with special mention for Michael Rush and all the volunteers.

This year's Cairde le Cheile was another great success, and a well organised event for a worthy charity, North West Hospice. Ideal weather, a large entry, the 'home' base at Saddler's Inn in Kingsland was perfect and the organising committee demonstrated once again what can be achieved by a local community. The format was similar to last year: a 6km Run, a 10km Run and a 'Walkers'.

Wynnes Bar 5th Anniversary, Street Party [photos...]
The Cool Hand Dukes playing on Green Street
Majella and Keith Condon threw a most enjoyable, well-attended Green Street Party on Saturday night to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of their opening in Wynne's Bar, Boyle. We had Marquees, 'tons' of party food (burgers, sausages, chicken and a table full of gorgeous salads) and great music from 8.30pm till late. DJ's Frances Candon and Philip Cregg, the Cool Hand Dukes as well as Boyle's super band of Johnny McGlynn, Seamie Simon, Kieron (nearly Boyle) Reynolds and Matt Burke entertained party goers royally for what was truly one helluve a night !!
