Last Sunday’s King Cup was won by Tom Kearney with 43pts, 2nd Adrian King 41pts, Gross Gary Carty, 3rd John McGuinn 41pts. Thie result gives Tom Kearney a seven point lead over Gary Carty on the Golfer of the Year leader board with Gerry Carty in 3rd place. The final round takes place on Sunday 21st September. Thursday night’s Mens Competition was won by Jonathan Egan 20pts, 2nd Martin Wynne 20pts, 3rd Liam Whyte 20pts. Fridays Scramble was won by Brendan Gaffney, Aising Gaughran & Michael Gilmartin, 2nd Gary Carty, Martin Wynne & Michael Simon.& , 3rd Adrian King, Michael Rush & Seamus Gallagher.
The weekly nine hole commences again this week and can be played Monday – Saturday. Entry €5.00 re-entry €3.00. Other competitions this week are the Mens Competition on Thursday and next Saturday/Sunday will be a two ball scramble. Entry €10.00 re-entry €5.00.This Friday is the last of the Scrambles and entry will be free.
The winter league entry sheet is on the noticeboard. Format will be Ryder Cup style with the first week scotch foursomes, 2nd week fourball better ball and third week singles. Draw will take place on Sunday 21st September.
The Club outing to New Forest Golf Club will take place on Saturday October 11th. Details on noticeboard.
