Freedom of Co Roscommon for Chris O'Dowd
We are delighted that Roscommon Co Council honoured Boyle actor Chris O'Dowd for making what it says is an 'outstanding contribution to the county's standing at home and abroad'.
By implication, the O'Dowd family as well as the people of Boyle were honoured as this was the community that made it possible for Chris to grow up and mature in an atmosphere where creativity is encouraged and recognised.
