"Who Wants to be a Thousandaire" in Boyle
Boyle GAA Clubs (the Male Club and the Ladies Club) have joined forces to host the hugely popular "Who Wants to be a Thousandaire" show to St Joseph’s Hall, Boyle on Saturday 6th December.
This show has attracted large audiences all over Ireland over the past seven years and is fast becoming the most popular source of fundraising for schools and clubs.
Contestants will be drawn from ticket sales and each contestant will play for €1,000. The show is fully computerised with "50/50", "Ask the Audience" and a brilliant video linked "Phone a Friend". The questions and four possible answers will be displayed on two 8ft by 6ft screens, one at each side of the stage.

Katie Taylor - World Champion

Katie Taylor has been billed as "Ireland's greatest boxer of all time". Katie would be the first to question such a billing, but she has now become "Ireland's most accomplished boxer of all time". I met her once, [photo here...] and outside the boxing ring she is a quietly spoken, non-pushy lady who appears almost surprised at her success and achievements.
Katie created international boxing history after being crowned AIBA World Elite lightweight champion in South Korea this weekend. She has now won 17th major titles - one Olympic, five World, six European and five European Union since 2005.
