Boyle GAA Club Update 2nd March

The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Dodds Bar;- Dessie McLoughlin, Declan and Mary Duignan, Tom Commons, Eileen Egan, Christine Healy and Marie Harvey. The house prize was won by John McGuinn. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €8,300 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Brunos with Team C in charge. 

The National Automation Limited Minors commenced their season with a two point loss to Western Gaels in the Division 3 League in the Abbey Park on Sunday. They will be in action again on Sunday next when they will host Kilbride in the Abbey Park at 11am.

The fixtures have been announced for the U14 league competitions. Our Division 1 team will commence their campaign on 2nd April while the Division 4 team will commence a week earlier.
The U16s will have their next Division 4 League outing on St Patrick’s Day against a Kilglass Gaels/St Barrys competition.

The McGovern Directional Drilling seniors are in preparation for their opening O’Rourke Cup fixture against Tulsk on 22nd March.

Thanks is extended to all involved in the Bank of Ireland Boyle Expo at the weekend for affording and opportunity for the Club to acknowledge the Boyle members of the DCU Sigerson Cup team--Donal and Enda Smith and Tadhg Lowe.

Laois, to the Costello family, Mockmoyne on the death of Michael’s sister in Co Mayo, and to the Killoran family, Ryefield, Elphin, the Doherty family, Knockarush and the Sweeney family, Cavetown on the death of Mrs Killoran.
