We are hoping to have a car go round the town at 12 to commence the sweep (we would like this to be an occasion that everybody would come out at the same time)

In 1161, the Cistercian monks established Boyle Abbey. Previously, they had made three unsuccessful attempts to settle in the province of Connacht. The monastery, which was completed about 1220, was laid out according to the usual Cistercian plan with a church on the north side of a rectangular cloister area, with a chapter house for meetings on a second side, a kitchen and refectory on the third, and store houses and dormitory likely on the fourth.

Teachers surveyed also report that one-in-three parents mentioned concerns over their ability to make their food budget stretch to the end of the week.
