Ros Co. Cllr. Maura Hopkins wrote: "Looking to the future, I strongly called for an urgent review of iconic buildings on the site namely the Gatehouse, Church and Stables. I called for an assessment of these buildings take place to ascertain their current condition, identify potential uses of such buildings and seek funding for their restoration. We must ensure the further decline of these buildings is arrested. I will continue to work hard to encourage such a review as it is terrible shame to see such buildings fall further into disrepair."
