€30 million Town and Village Renewal Scheme
Shannonside FM report: "Rural Affairs Minister Ann Phelan says the €30 million euro Town and Village Renewal Scheme announced yesterday morning will be administered and distributed at a very local level. Minister Phelan says it will be channeled through the county councils and Local Community Development Committees, who will be able to identify the projects which could benefit the most. Meanwhile, the Taoiseach has admitted the scheme 'won’t do a lot' on its own, and won't solve all of rural Ireland's problems."
• It will be interesting to see how much of this €30 million will come to Boyle.
